Celebrate the Launch of the Cornerstone Comeback Grant Program at the July Greet & Eat Food Truck Event

The Southfield Downtown Development Authority invites business owners, commercial property owners, developers, entrepreneurs, residents, and community partners to celebrate the launch of the Cornerstone Comeback Grant Program during the upcoming Greet & Eat Food Truck Event.

The event marks the public launch of the SDDA’s newest economic development initiative, designed to help businesses and property owners invest in Southfield’s Historic Cornerstone District through financial assistance and professional guidance.
Official Program Launch
Mayor Kenson J. Siver will officially introduce the Cornerstone Comeback Grant Program and recognize the program’s first Board-approved project with a ceremonial grant presentation celebrating investment in the Historic Cornerstone District.
Attendees will have an opportunity to:
- Learn about the three Cornerstone Comeback Grant opportunities.
- Meet SDDA staff and Grant Committee members.
- Ask questions about the application process.
- Pick up grant materials and program information.
- View examples of Mid-Century Modern address numerals.
Celebrating City Employees
The event will also recognize members of the City of Southfield Department of Public Works who have earned professional trade certifications.
City Council will acknowledge the department’s continued investment in employee development and its efforts to expand in-house services that improve efficiency, strengthen operations, and better serve the community.

The Greet & Eat Food Truck Event is also part of the SDDA’s ongoing community engagement initiative.
Lunch will be provided free of charge to all Department of Public Works employees. Community members may also enjoy a complimentary lunch by completing one of the following engagement activities during the event:
